While hallucinating, overlooking the Sea of Galilee, the day my youngest daughter was born.
It was super hot ( that summer it regularly cranked past 46), and I was imagining her first sounds, first sensations, what her first dreams would be about, how she would hear things differently now that she was in the world.
lyrics
Olive, pine and carob line the sea
it's hot today again
everything is slow
but me
Gavriel
the Sharkia's outside your window
Gavriel
there are good signs in the stars tonight
And i'll take you there
we'll ride a unicorn
and maybe I can show you how to hold on
and as we stare in to an endless sun
you'll feel the light and space and you are one
Spring has brought you out of your cocoon
emerging on a fragrant night
and a full moon
Gavriel
the Golan is watching over you
Gavriel
there are good signs in the stars tonight
And i'll take you there
to where
you want to go
I'll tell you anything that you want to know
my baby girl i'll roll the magic carpet at your feet
I'll take you there
we'll ride a unicorn
and maybe I can show you how to hold on
and as we stare in to an endless sun
you'll feel the light and space and you are one
How did you know that so fast?
leave something for later
so I can keep pretending that you need me here
The fields are stretching, ready for a sleep
the jackal's song sounds sweet tonight
while you count the sheep
Gavriel i'll watch and guard you
all of your days
And i'll take you there
to where
you want to go
I'll tell you anything that you want to know
my baby girl i'll roll the magic carpet at your feet
I'll take you there
we'll ride a unicorn
and maybe I can show you how to hold on
and as we stare in to an endless sun
you'll feel the light and space and you are one
My baby girl the whole world awaits you
